The
Father of the Atari 5200 & Atari XL Computers. Was responsible
for designing the Atari 5200 SuperSystem and Atari XL Computer
line, cartridges and accessories, with the exception of the
somewhat controversial Atari 5200 Joystick. Regan worked closely
with both Atari founder Nolan Bushnell and Apple founder Steve
Jobs while serving at Atari. Regan was one of the few to work
at both Atari Coin-Op and Atari Home-Consumer divisions, and
was responsible for creating the "Atari Look of the 1980's"
featuring the now-classic low-slung black plastic design and
sleek metal band. Regan was also responsible for creating countless
Atari Coin-Op game cabinets as well as the infamous Sega Hologram
Coin-Op machines.
