The
Atari 7800 ProSystem Story
All in all, the Atari 7800 was the answer to many questions posed by gamers during the mid 1980's. The 7800 brings home to gamers everything they had been pleading for, it went above and beyond anything Atari had previously produced, bringing home classic games such as Asteroids, Galaga, Dig Dug, Ms. Pac-Man, and Pole Position II in true-to-arcade quality graphics, color and sound. What's more, the 7800 is fully compatiable with most all of the 2600 software and accessories, as to add an immediate library of software avalable to 7800 players, and keep the Atari lineage alive. A high score cartridge and computer component had also been designed for release with the system, adding a game save option and full computer capabilities to the already powerful system. The 7800 ProSystem was living functional proof of what Atari could do, how much they could innovate, and just how far they could dream. The Atari 7800 was more than just a game system, it was a window into a dream world. The world of Atari. <MORE>
